For the technical provision of this website, we work together with a service provider who works for us as a contract processor (processing the data on behalf) and with whom we have concluded a contract in accordance with the provisions of data protection law.
As a small company, we do not have a designated data protection officer. If you have any questions, please contact us at the above-mentioned contact details.
On this website, you have the possibility to contact us via “contact”. The data entered by you will be used to
answer your inquiry and will be stored on our server for four weeks. For this cause, it is necessary that you
provide your e-mail address; you can enter further information voluntarily (legal basis: Art. 6 I 1 a DSGVO). The
processing of your data is legally permissible on the basis of your consent until revocation, if any. You can
revoke your consent at any time and free of charge by contacting us or our data protection officer at the
above-mentioned contact details. The revocation does not affect the legality of the processing that has taken
place up to this point in time.
Furthermore, when using the contact form your IP address will be transmitted to us. This is required to guarantee
system security; in this way we ensure that we are not contacted via technical equipment ("robots"), but only in
specific cases by individual persons. The collection of this information is therefore in our overriding,
legitimate interest (legal basis: Art. 6 I 1 f DSGVO). Your IP address will be automatically deleted from our
servers one week later. You can object to the use of your IP address for contacting us at any time if there is a
reason justified in your person which you state. All you need to do is send a short message to the contact details
above (us or our data protection officer); we will then immediately check whether your objection is justified.
Your data will be blocked during the examination; if you have a justified objection, we will delete it at the end
of the examination.
Customers can create a service account by registration via https://mediwiss-analytic.de/service.php. Registered
customers can ask questions, order products and they can obtain further information. The registration requires
information on you name, the company or lab for which you are employed, your telephone number, a current e-mail
address and the country in which your company or lab is located (legal basis: Art. 6 I 1 a GDPR and, in case of
contract fulfilment, possibly Art. 6 I 1 b GDPR). After the registration, we provide you with a login-password. We
use your data to answer your question, to deliver the ordered products or to send you the requested
information.
As far as the processing of your data is legally permissible on the basis of your consent, you can revoke your
consent at any time and free of charge by contacting us or our data protection officer at the above-mentioned
contact details. The revocation does not affect the legality of the processing that has taken place up to this
point in time. You can also delete your registration and all corresponding data collections instantly by following
the instructions on the "My account" page (at the bottom at the page).
With regard to the customer service login, the website uses session cookies which are small text files that are
stored in your browser. Until all browser windows are closed, those cookies will be retained. Whenever registered
customers log in with their e-mail address and password, the login status will be stored. These cookies notify if
you are visiting the customer area. We have a legitimate interest to use those cookies for a user-friendly
environment, to ensure system security and out of evidentiary purposes (legal basis: Art. 6 I 1 f GDPR). In case
you do not wish us to use cookies, you can block their use in your browser settings. While, in this instance,
visiting our website will be still possible, you will not be able to log in to the customer area. No cookies are
used on other subpages of our website.
Every time you enter the website, your browser transmits access data, so-called server log files. This includes in
particular the time of your visit, the page from which you visit us (referrer.URL), the subpages visited, your IP
address, the data volume and the browser you use. These server log files are made anonymous after 7 days by
shortening the IP address; up to this point in time, all data records are required for reasons of system security
(legal basis: Art. 6 I 1 f DSGVO). You can object to this at any time; the same applies here as described under
"Contact form".
This website uses the Matomo (formerly Piwik) service for web analysis. This makes it possible to evaluate the
collected usage data for statistical purposes in order to optimize the design of the website. No additional data
besides the server log files is collected or used. Your IP address will be made anonymous; from this point in time
a reference to your person can no longer be established. Until anonymisation, the processing of (personal) data to
improve the website is in our overriding, legitimate interest (legal basis: Art. 6 I 1 f DSGVO). You can object to
this at any time; the same applies here as described under "Contact form".
Your rights as a data subject will of course be fulfilled in accordance with the provisions of data protection
law. This includes in particular your right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and
transferability.
In addition, you can revoke your consent at any time free of charge. If we process your data for our legitimate
interest, you can object to further processing (for use for advertising purposes at any time, otherwise with a
special reason). In both cases - a revocation of consent or an objection - we will no longer process your personal
data upon receipt during the subsequent verification and will delete them after completion of the verification in
case of justified revocation and objection.
MEDIWISS Analytic GmbH will fulfil your rights immediately and free of charge. Please contact us; you will find
our contact details at the beginning of this privacy policy.
Furthermore, you can always lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent data
protection supervisory authority for us is “Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit
Nordrhein-Westfalen, Kavalleriestr. 2-4, 40213 Düsseldorf, www.ldi.nrw.de”.
